Pew Research: Do you know what you believe?

Do you know what you believe and why you believe it? Well, research says that the average atheist knows more about the bible and world religions than the average lay-Christian. The research is astonishing. On the whole, there is a lack of understanding in what it means to be Christian  in regards to what Christians believe.  Whether you think so or not, there is a correct answer to the question, “What do Christians believe?” We have defining characteristics in the realm of doctrine AND practice.  So in a sense, there is a field of play with set boundaries and to step outside those boundaries is to step outside the field of play and consequently, step outside of what is Christian.

I encourage you to check out the research here. You can even take the survey that was used in this study. Share your score… if you so dare.

I got an 87…missed 2 of those bad boys. The Jewish Sabbath begins Friday not Sunday and Vishnu and Shiva are figures of Hinduism not Taoism. Looks like the 2 biggest things i lack on came and bit me (OT and other religions)
